About Me

About Me

Who Am I?

I often say I am a work in progress: continually evolving and learning

I am a globally recognized HR technology expert and influencer in the HR Technology ecosystem and I am certified as both an HR (SHRM-SCP) and as an HRIT (HRIP) professional. I am a former board member and leader in Americas’ SAP Users’ Group where I focused on SAP SuccessFactors technologies and enabling customers’ transformations to cloud as part of their entire ERP platform strategy. I have been a leader in Employee Benefits at a Fortune 500 company where I launched HR Shared Services and then moved on to Manage Global IT.

My specialty in technology has been working with SAP / SuccessFactors software solutions and ADP Global View payroll solutions. However, my background in Human Resources business and continuing education and engagement in technology solutions blend to apply across any and all systems.

Central to my philosophy is designing the systems – processes and technology – so that these support and enable HR business processes as part of the entire entity’s success. I have a broad perspective when it comes to HR — one that believes cyber security and personal security awareness must top everyone’s list of skills, for example – and a vision that ties people into every element of the enterprise.

I have led a dozen full life cycle HCM implementations across 27 countries, including alignment and integration with Finance. Currently, I am the certification program manager for the International Human Resources Information Management (IHRIM) association and a member of the IHRIM Technology Review Committee. These engagements maintain and expand awareness of technology solutions and the applicability to various industries.

My strengths are·
  • Identifying effective strategies to solve challenging issues
  • The ability to understand others’ perspectives and deal effectively with different types of people; to bring others together to resolve conflicts and reconcile differences.
  • Conveying ideas effectively and identifying messages others are attempting to convey; Identifying and understanding motivations and feelings
  • Analyzing and answering complex problems.
  • Continuous learning and imagining new and different ways of doing things.

As the founder of Recharge HR, I provide independent and unbiased consulting services to enable customers to execute on their technology transformation visions.

In life overall, my passion is my family. I am the youngest of five; daughter of a steel union worker (Ignatius Hoffman) whose parents emigrated to the US from Austria, and a homemaker (Anna Tarovicki Hoffman) who came to America at the age of three from Czechoslovakia with only her mother and no knowledge of the English language. (I still marvel at how they found Omrod, Pennsylvania in 1921.) I have two daughters – one a musician and part of the management team at Wawa; and one a soon-to-be counselor, personal trainer and health and fitness blogger. So, my days are often bookended with an exercise class in the morning and a live music event in the evening.
